Honest Lies - Camden Fringe 2017

The Star of Kings

Theatre

Honest Lies is a new one-act comedy-drama that explores the lives of Sam, a bitter failed actor, and Claire, a naive but successful actress. What begins as a straightforward study of a toxic relationship slowly unravels into a surreal satire on self-important theatre. The play asks three fundamental questions: why do we watch theatre? Why do actors act? And is theatre actually important? This is the debut production of Putnockee Players, a contemporary theatre company who are committed to staging bold new work that challenges our perceptions of theatre (as well as being fun and entertaining!). It stars Alexander Jeremy as Sam, Hayley Osborne as Claire, and was written and directed by Christopher Walthorne.
